Scholarships, Discounts and Financial Assistance
Scholarships - CLOSED - APPLICATIONS UNDER REVIEW
Full scholarships are available to outstanding students who demonstrate artistic excellence and financial need. One scholarship is available in each of the four disciplines - Art, Dance, Drama and Music. To be considered to receive a Summer Academies in the Arts Scholarship, students must complete and submit an application. The Summer Academies in the Arts Scholarship application window is CLOSED. Applications are under review. Good luck!
Discounts
Special discounts are available for our returning scholars and UC Irvine's faculty and staff. Contact the Outreach Department at artsoutreach@uci.edu or (949) 824-8976 to get your PROMO CODE. Discounts may be combined up to 25%. Discounts are subject to change and availability. Discounts currently available are:
5% Discount when you register with a group of 5 or more
10% Discount for returning Summer and Saturday Academy students
15% Discount for children of UCI Faculty and Staff
Financial Assistance
Students may apply for financial assistance that would subsidize registration fees based on household income and size. The chart below demonstrates the percentage of financial assistance available to families demonstrating financial need.

This chart is based on the 2012 Health and Human Services Federal Poverty Guidelines.
To qualify for financial assistance, please submit a complete signed copy of the most recent 1040A or 1040EZ tax form for the student's parents or legal guardians no later than Monday, June 3, 2013. The "Adjusted Gross Income" shown on the tax form (box 37) and the number of people in the house hold (box 6d) will determine how much financial assistance will be awarded to the student. Applicants will be notified of the status of their application within one week of receipt of the application. Approved applicants will then be asked to send subsidized fee payment to the Outreach Department to complete registration or will be given a promo code if registering online.
