2012 Summer Academy in Art and Digital Art

After working in charcoal, ink, plaster and found-wood, the Summer Academy in Art students mounted their own exhibition. The scholars left the two weeks having developed new skills, having worked in different media, and having completed a portfolio piece or two. Great work, and great ART works, by these young artists! Check out the Drawing and Sculpture Academy in action, click here for photos!

The Summer Academy in Digital Art, more correctly, Digital Filmmaking, developed videos from story boards to production to post production to screening. Every student directed their own film, some became actors, others lighting designers, and others directors of photography. In just two weeks, each student left the Academy with a finished film, learned the basics of Final Cut Pro, learned cinematography and lighting techniques, and were inspired by the work of Alfred Hitchcock. Well done all, we can say we knew you when. To see what the Digital Filmmaking students were up to this summer click here!
