The Music Theatre Camp, designed by Drama faculty at UC Irvine’s Claire Trevor School of the Arts, is a conservatory intensive to help hone students’ essential skills so they are prepared for the demands of a Broadway career. Campers will take part daily in intensive voice, acting, and dance workshops, and will have a “work in progress” showing on the last day of camp. UCI’s Claire Trevor School of the Arts Music Theatre faculty works closely with students, giving one-on-one feedback to address individual weaknesses and strengths.

Theatre Camp

UC Irvine’s Claire Trevor School of the Arts Drama Department offers a summer acting camp conservatory for students training in Drama. The week’s activities
involve intensive training in the craft of acting through theatre games, scene and monologue work and improvisation as well as singing for the actor. The workshops are designed to incite the creative imagination of each participant and to encourage taking safe risks while honing their acting skills. Under the guidance of the acclaimed UC Irvine Claire Trevor School of the Arts Drama faculty, students will explore external performance techniques in comedy, improvisation, character analysis, movement, and stage combat.
