The Claire Trevor School of the Arts at UC Irvine and the Blues Kids Foundation present Fernando Jones' Blues Camp. This fun-filled experience will award tuition scholarships to over two hundred intermediate and advanced Blues Kids, ages 12 to 18. Through this priceless experience Blues Kids will learn and perform America's root music in a weeklong program with like-minded others under the tutelage of highly qualified instructors. Entry is very competitive.

US Performing Arts Camps, considered the premier top tier summer program for training young people in the arts, is coming to UC Irvine's Claire Trevor School of the Arts. These residential camps in Theatre and Music Theatre will include workshops that focus on acting, improvisation, scene study and monologue work, song study and interpretation, vocal instruction, dance for musical theater, audition techniques, performance analysis, and a brief history of musical theater.

The Summer Academies in the Arts provide middle and high school students the opportunity to spend part of their summer absorbed in Art, Dance, Drama, and Music intensives. Courses are rigorous, with close, focused instruction in small classes. Students will prepare for auditions and college portfolios with the support of industry professionals. All courses offer master classes with members of UC Irvine's stellar Claire Trevor School of the Arts faculty and the opportunity to learn tips for success in the Arts.
